Gomorrah is a fetish club whose primary patronage comes from rebellious teens and twenty-somethings, middle-aged Goths trying to hang onto their subculture, and out-of-place salarymen who are really only here for the dominatrix play that goes on in Purgatory, the club's secluded basement. The layout is as such: a coat room with a flickering light run by a disinterested, overweight woman in her 50s wearing a slashed halter top and horned-rim glasses; the main dance floor with dancers hanging in spiked cages, strobe lights, and loud, angry industrial music; a bar run by a scrawny guy in a full leather gimp suit who is chained to the bar; a stairwell leading to a second level surrounding the dancefloor for patrons to “chat,” along with an office covered in painted crime scene tape; and the basement, a labyrinth of walls painted black with flame accents, containing “torture” chambers for those who are into that sort of thing.
The club is owned by Britney “Eris” Pettigrew, an eccentric business school dropout in her late 20s who's making money on what she knows sells (a la Missy Suicide). She usually spends her time in the soundproofed office playing World of Warcraft (she despises most of her clientele), though she also works as a dom now and then; her appointment book is very exclusive.
Crime: Crimes are not committed at Gomorrah; Ms. Pettigrew makes sure that everything that happens within its walls is completely legal activity between consenting adults. The worst thing that happens here is usually a kid with a fake ID buying booze.
